Charles Hurt

Charles Hurt was a standout basketball player at Shelby County High School. His turn-around shot at the buzzer enabled the Rockets to tie Covington Holmes in the 1978 finals of the Kentucky State High School Basketball Tournament. The team went on to win 68-66 in overtime. Hurt later starred at the University of Kentucky.
