Summer History Camp
There’s nothing like the experience of the Shelby County Historical Society summer camp! Since 2008, it has been the most popular summer camp with a waiting list every year. Students who attended the previous year get first chance at signing up. New campers are welcome to fill any remaining spots – but hurry – camp fills up quickly!
Open to ages 7 – 13, it’s 3 days of the most fun you could ever have! Held alternating years at various downtown sites and Red Orchard Park, if available.
Meet famous faces from the past like Chief Black Hoof, Queen Victoria, and Kentucky’s own Grandpa Jones!
Too old to come back? Don’t worry – we always need Junior Counselors.
You’re never really too old for camp. We always need adult supervision and extra hands and brain power in planning our extraordinary camp. Contact the office for more info at (502) 513-5555 or Online.
