Gruber family
In 1892, the Gruber family, famous for many of the buildings that still grace Shelby County, gathered at their home on East Main Street. At the left is Lynn Thomas Gruber, his wife Mamye Deets, with daughters Bertie and Grace (seated in front); at right is Henry Calvin Gruber, wife Mettie Davis and children John Lewis and Helen Kate. Seated in the center are Lucy Catherine Dear and Lewis Henry Gruber.
