
Cross Keys Inn (1921)
Cross Keys Inn, shown here in 1921, was known far and wide for its fine food and accommodations. The Marquis de Lafayette dined at Cross Keys in 1825 during his triumphant return to America. His assistance had been vital to the American cause during the Revolutionary War. The historic structure burned to the ground in 1934.
