In April of 1958 the ceiling of the First Baptist Church began to collapse, with four people still inside, Mrs. Roy Barlow, Mrs. B. B. Bailey, Roscoe Mickie, and Bob Fay. The image on the bulletin cover shows the damage that occurred near the organ, which Mrs. B. B. Bailey had just finished locking up when the ceiling collapsed.
