Crew of “Plate’s Date”<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first man kneeling on the left is Staff Sergeant and waist gunner Edmund Myles with the crew of “Plate’s Date” in 1943. Other’s identified include front row, fourth from the left, Wilmer (Bill) Plate, pilot, and next to him on the right is Sandy (Goldberg) Gaylord.

Other possible crew members include, Paul E. Beals, , Joseph Victor, Thomas Green, Timothy Burns, Donald Davis, Raymond Alnor, and Samuel Taylor.

The four-engine Liberator bomber flew 31 missions from its station in Halesworth, England and was part of the 489th Bomb Group in the 847th Bombardment Squadron.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
