Drs. Thomas and Henry Williams<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Twin Dentists, Drs. Thomas and Henry Williams were the youngest of nine children, and both went to Louisville Dental College. Tom worked as an Electrician to put Henry through school, then Henry began seeing patients to put Tom through school. They went into practice together in 1903, across from the Shelby County Courthouse, where they worked as a team (well into their eighties) for fifty-five years. They only charged $1.00 for a simple extraction because as Dr. Tom put it, \u201cWe never robbed anybody by charging high fees.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The two always addressed each other as, \u201cBrother\u201d and conferred with each other every morning on their wardrobe, so their clothes would match from their handkerchiefs to their socks. As widowers, they shared an apartment and traveled to Twin Conventions, gardened, and fished together. On a nice day, the twins could often be spotted sharing a park bench along Main Street, reading the newspaper. Dr. Henry passed away at the age of eighty-six, in January, 1962. Dr. Tom followed his first and best friend eleven months later at the age of eighty-seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
